The Weekly Shonen Jump magazine had finally revealed the story and plot for the upcoming “Hunter × Hunter the Movie: Phantom Rogue.” The key visual shows Kurapika's eyes were bandaged, but why? Read on:
As we all know, Kurapika became a Hunter to take vengeance on the gang of thieves who massacred the Kurta clan, the Phantom Troupe. They sought after the clan members' eyes, which turn scarlet when they get troubled, nervous or angry.
Kurapika's "scarlet eyes" were stolen by an unknown party. On the brink of death, his life was saved with the help of Gon, Killua, and Leorio. The Phantom Troupe stands before them, who are about to discover the true identity of the person with the No.4 spider tattoo.
“Hunter × Hunter the Movie: Phantom Rogue” will have an original story written by Yoshihiro Togashi himself. So far, it has not yet stated on which part or timeline in the manga / anime this will took place.
The film will open in Japanese theaters on January 12th.
