Digimon Re:Digitize Coming to 3DS

Earlier than the expected Thursday revelation, it has been revealed that the fourth part of the Digimon franchise's 15th Anniversary will be the Nintendo 3DS port of the recent Digimon Re:Digitize PlayStation Portable game. It's not just a simple port as the new version will come with additional features.

To be now known as Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode, it will feature new Digital Monsters including those with the X-Antibody, previously featured in the Digimon X-Evolution CG anime film. The game will then have two new storylines: “The Lamentful X-Antibody” (Dōkoku no X-Kōtai) and “The Scheming Demon Lord” (Sakubō no Maō), with Dukemon X, Omegamon X and the mysterious Dorumon appearing in the former.

Details about the “The Scheming Demon Lord” storyline will be revealed on a later date.

The Digimon anime franchise's 15th anniversary project started out with the release of the PlayStation Portable game Digimon Re:Digitize. The second phase is the iOS card game Digimon Crusader. And the most recent, the third part is the PSP game version of the original Digimon Adventure anime series.
